Questions About France’s Seriousness in Repairing Relations with Algeria

The statements and actions of French officials regarding relations with Algeria appear to be moving along two contradictory tracks—an inconsistency that threatens to obstruct the fragile process of de-escalation between the two countries and leave several contentious issues unresolved indefinitely.
